Web scraping allows you to extract information on a website and use it as context within your Change Agent chat. This is useful for pulling information from publicly available websites and drawing on it for tasks with Change Agent. You can also use Change Agent to organize plain text from meetings, chats, and reports into a grid.
Note: If the website has privacy or sharing settings, such as Google Docs, be sure the share settings are set to public.
Step 1: Open a New Chat
To start, open a new chat window by clicking on the "New Chat" button located at the top right-hand corner of the tool. This button looks like a pencil and notepad.
Step 2: Type the # Sign and Enter the URL
In the message box, type the # sign followed by the URL of the website you want to scrape.
Step 3: Load the document
After typing the URL, press enter and wait for the three dots to finish loading. This may take a few seconds.
Loading (In Progress): Three moving dots appear when a document loading is in progress.
Loading (Complete): This document icon appears when document loading is complete.
Step 4: Load the Webpage
Once the webpage is loaded, you can prompt Change Agent to use the attached URL as context for a variety of tasks
