Step 1: Locate the "Create a Mini Change Agent" Option
In the left-hand column of your screen, below “New Chat” and “Translation”, select “Create a MiniCA”.
Step 2: Enter Required Information
The window will prompt you to provide the following information:
Name
- Provide a name of the Mini Change Agent that will be displayed in the top left column for you to select when you want to use this again.
- Example: For a Mini Change Agent designed to assist with writing thank you notes for XYZ organization, the Name might be: "XYZ Thank You Notes”
Description
- A brief summary of the Mini Change Agent's purpose and functionality.
- Will be displayed in the main window when you select this MiniChange Agent
- Example: For a Mini Change Agent designed to assist with writing thank you notes for XYZ organization, the Description might be: "This Mini Change Agent helps generate thank you notes to donors, tailored to XYZ organization's brand and the development director’s voice"
Instructions
- This is the text that will prompt Change Agent each time you select the Mini Change Agent, similar to when you input text into the “Send Message” box of a New Chat
- Example: For a Mini Change Agent designed to assist with writing thank you notes for XYZ organization, the Instructions might be: “As an experienced nonprofit fundraising expert, write a short thank you letter to each donor listed in the table below which will begin with an innovative or creative sentence that charms the donor and conveys gratitude using a tone that is warm, positive and upbeat. Include how the gift will be used [help protect ocean ecosystems], the name of our organization [Save the Octopi] and sign it from Example Name, Development Director”
Step 3: Upload Files (Optional, but highly recommended)
Upload files to support your Mini Change Agent's functionality. This may include data sets, documents, or other resources.
Step 4: Save and Create
Save this MiniChange Agent by clicking the “Create” button underneath the Instructions box.
Your MiniCA now lives in the bookmark on the left hand side of your screen.
Step 5: Start Chat
Once you have clicked the create button, or if you have just selected the bookmark of your Mini Change Agent on the left side of your screen, three new buttons will be displayed under the Instructions: “Update”, “Start Chat” and “Delete”.
Click “Start Chat” to create a new chat. The instructions will automatically be loaded and you can then add in the supplemental information relevant to this use.
Tips and Variations
- Use a clear and descriptive name for your Mini Change Agent to ensure easy identification.
- Provide a detailed description of your Mini Change Agent's purpose and functionality to help others understand its capabilities.
- Upload relevant files to support your Mini Change Agent's functionality and improve its performance.
- Experiment with different configurations and workflows to customize your Mini Change Agent to suit your specific needs.
- If you would like to update or delete your MiniCA, you may do so by clicking the side bar, editing in the window, and clicking the corresponding buttons on either side of “Start Chat.”
Step 6: Share it
Scroll to the Bottom of the Mini Change Agent curation page
Look for the “Share MiniCA” button at the bottom of the MiniCA creation page.
Click on “Show” on the Right
Hit the Copy icon to copy the code.
You can share that with a team member
Step 7: How to Import a Shared MiniCA
Click on the Create MiniCA button on the left hand toolbar.
This will open the template for making a new MiniCA.
Click the “Show” button to the right of where it says says Import a MiniCA.
Paste the Code and Click Import
When you click import, the MiniCA field will autopopulate!
