Context is crucial when working with AI, as it informs the AI about your mission, vision, values, and specific requirements. Change Agent provides four methods to load context, and this guide will walk you through each step.
Option 1: Copy-Paste Method
To load context using the copy-paste method, simply copy the relevant information and paste it into the input field. It's a good practice to enclose the pasted text in quotation marks to distinguish it from other input. Once you've pasted the information, click the "Send Message" button to process the context.
Option 2: Document Uploads
You can also load context by uploading relevant documents. To do this, click the plus button and select the file you want to upload from your desktop. Change Agent will display a circling ring as it processes the file, followed by a document icon once the upload is complete. After uploading the document, type in your prompt and click "Send Message" to instruct Change Agent to summarize or analyze the uploaded document.
Option 3: Using a Hashtag (#) to Load a Website
The hashtag (#) allows you to load context from a website by scraping its content. To use this feature, type the hashtag (#) and copy-paste the URL of the website you want to load. Then click on the url in the box that appears above when you hover over that url with your mouse. Change Agent will process the website content, displaying a circling ring and a document icon once complete. Be aware that some websites may be harder to scrape than others, and you may encounter issues. This method is also known as web scraping.
Option 4: Loading Shared Knowledge
To load shared knowledge, navigate to the Workspace section on the left-hand side of your screen and click on "Knowledge." Here, you'll find “Collections” of information, similar to folders. Select the relevant collection and click the + button to load in a new document. Then navigate back to a new chat. You can then use the hashtag button to reference the loaded document by typing its name. Change Agent will retrieve the document, and you can instruct it to perform a specific task, such as summarization.
Tips and Troubleshooting
Keep in mind that different methods may work better for different types of content. Loading in a website URL with the # button, aka webscraping, is sometimes blocked by certain sites. If you encounter issues with web scraping, try using one of the other methods.
