Change Agent allows you to create and store reusable prompt templates in your Workspace. This eliminates the need to rewrite the same prompts repeatedly, saving you time and ensuring consistency across your work.
Step 1: Access Saved Prompts
On the left-hand side of your screen, navigate to Workspace. Click on the third tab labeled "Prompts." Here, you can sort prompts by those you've created, those shared with you, or view all available prompts.
Step 2: Create a New Prompt
To create a new saved prompt, click on the "New Prompt" icon. Enter a title for your prompt in the title field, then type your prompt text in the prompt field. This prompt can be any task you find yourself repeating, such as transcribing images, summarizing documents,
Step 3: Configure Sharing Settings
Saved prompts are shareable through the App Store. Click the "Access" button to control which groups you want to share your prompt with. If you're on an Enterprise version of Change Agent, you may also have the ability to share with your entire instance.
Step 4: Save Your Prompt
Once you're done creating your prompt, click "Save and Create." You'll receive a success notification in the upper right-hand corner of your screen, and you'll see your new saved prompt appear in your Saved Prompts list.
Step 5: Load a Saved Prompt
The shortcut for loading a saved prompt is by typing slash (/) in your chat window. You can either start typing the name of your prompt and press Enter to select it, or type slash and scroll until you find the saved prompt you're looking for. Click on it, and you'll see the full text enter your prompt window. From there, you can add any additional information (such as pasting an image or adding specific details) and submit your prompt.
Understanding Saved Prompts vs. Apps
It's important to know that saved prompts are different from apps. Saved prompts are quicker, more succinct saved templates of text. Apps are more extensive and should be used when you want to explain in-depth a voice, a persona, or a more complex task. Apps also allow you to save tags, add knowledge collections, and set default tools associated with those tasks.
